Membership Application and Renewal

Sexual Health Society of Queensland Membership

Notes on Society Membership

The purchase of membership is valid for one year from 1 July to 30 June
Membership is available for purchase at any point, however, the membership fee is fixed and there will be no prorating
All new membership must be approved at a management committee meeting, which occurs monthly
Regular membership is $80 and includes a service fee to cover the costs of the transaction
Student membership is free, but an image of a valid student ID must be provided

Membership Classes

Ordinary Membership ($80 annually)

For an individual working, or with an interest, in sexual health.
Confers voting rights at the AGM
All benefits of membership

Corporate Membership ($80 annually)

Membership owned by a corporation or organisation
Each corporate membership confers voting rights equivalent to one vote at the AGM
All benefits of membership for one nominated individual

Student Membership (free)

Students with an interest in sexual and reproductive health to develop their networks and build towards future career pathways
Students must be enrolled in a full-time course of study and working fewer than 20 hours per week in paid employment
Confers voting rights at the AGM
All benefits of membership, except opportunity to apply for scholarships (see below)

Honorary Life Membership

For individuals that have contributed to the Society in an extraordinary way
Confers voting rights at the AGM
All benefits of membership
