Dr Amy Mullens pronouns: she/her PRESIDENT Dr Amy Mullens is a practicing Clinical & Health Psychologist and a Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society. Amy is also a Professor within the School of Health & Wellbeing at the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), where she leads the 'Health Equity' theme within the UniSQ Centre for Health Research. Amy has been working in the Sexual Health and HIV sector in Australia since 2002. Amy is invested in improving health outcomes in partnership with priority communities (e.g., LGBTIQA+, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people living with HIV) in an affirming and culturally-responsive manner; including currently co-leading externally funded research projects in Sexual Health in the areas of gender-affirming care, enhancing health/wellbeing for trans and gender diverse people in prisons, POCT HIV/STI testing in correctional settings, holistic models of care for people living with intersex variations, suicide prevention for LGBTIQA+ communities, and endometriosis and pelvic pain-among others. |
Dr Angela Smith pronouns: she/her Vice President Dr Angela Smith is a Sexual Health Physician at Metro North Sexual Health and HIV Service. She also works at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in the gynaecology department providing termination of pregnancy services, contraception and gynaecology related reviews. Angela is the Medical Co-Chair for the Queensland Sexual Health Clinical Network and has a passion for improving service delivery and accessibility. She also enjoys providing education and participating continuing professional development in all areas of sexual and reproductive health. Angela is currently completing her Masters in Sexual and Reproductive Health through University of Sydney. |
Dr Ethan Salleh pronouns: he/him secretary Dr Ethan Salleh is a medical graduate of the University of Queensland, Ethan is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He completed additional s100 training in sexual health and HIV medicine and works as the senior s100 GP at the Gladstone Road Medical Centre. He has a strong interest in conducting research within HIV and Sexual Health Medicine and has published in the area. A Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, Ethan enjoys teaching medical students at his rooms during their GP rotations. He also teaches Advanced Life Support Skills to UQ medical students in the Medicine In Society Stream. Ethan is also the Chair of the Brisbane Community HIV Prescibers (CHiPs) group and has held that role since 2019. |
Dr Fabiola Martin pronouns: she/her Ordinary Member Dr Fabiola is a Fellow of the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine and Royal College of Physicians, UK. She has been working as a Sexual Health, HIV and HTLV Specialist for over two decades. She has trained and worked in UK and moved to Brisbane in 2017. Fabiola is passionate about non-judgmental and accessible health care for all patient groups and has been specifically fighting for the rights of patients living with Human T Leukaemia virus Type 1 (HTLV-1). She is an s100 prescriber, sees patients at Stonewall Medical Centre and is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at University of Queensland supporting the Queensland BBV/STI Professorial Chair Steering Committee. She is a member of the Queensland Sexual Health Network Committee. |
